Job Summary:
The Laboratory Lead position is responsible for assisting in necessary tests on product samples and plant environment to ensure quality products and sanitary operating conditions.
Essential Functions include the following:

  • Ensure laboratory and plant equipment is in good working condition, are correctly calibrated and properly sanitized.

  • Assist in performing routine maintenance on LECO machine.

  • Complete weekly scale checks

  • Complete weekly PH probe calibrations

  • Complete thermometer calibration

  • Calibrate pipettes

  • Assist with FOSS calibration

  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices while reviewing and validating daily production samples

  • Receive and document inbound ingredients

  • Assist with production / micro investigations

  • Assist in releasing products from Oracle

  • Ensure Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) are being followed

  • Provide PTO relief for Laboratory Technicians as needed

  • Review and verify all mailings

  • Training and implementation of new procedures / practices to Lab Technicians

  • Assist Lab Manager and Quality Assurance Manager with special projects or samples testing as needed

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order supplies and restock the lab as needed

  • Assist Technicians when issues arise in the plant causing additional work load

  • Help review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP')

  • Help conduct internal Quality Assurance audits

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)

  • Safety Protocol - Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey safety rules and procedures

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
